Some programs install their own icons to the control panel in order to simplify the access to their settings.
However, when you have a lot of applications do this, the control panel gets bogged down with unnecessary icons you rarely use.

If you want to deactivate one of these entries for another good reason (security, error when uninstalling a program, etc.), visualControls lets you do it.
It's a small tool that lists the elements that have been added to the control panel by different applications.
All you have to do is uncheck an entry's checkbox to hide its icon from the control panel. That's it.
